FGMSA Calls On The Leadership Of KNUST

A delegation made up of FGMSA executives, the organizing committee of the 14th African Regional Meeting, the regional team and team of officials of the IFMSA paid a courtesy call on the leadership of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

The delegation called on the dean of the medical school, Prof. Daniel Ansong and later the Pro Vice-Chancellor of the university to officially introduce the IFMSA and FGMSA to the university. In addition, the authorities were briefed on the regional meeting and its purpose.

The FGMSA president, Kennedy Ngaaso who was head of the delegation thanked the university on behalf of the federation for their significant support in making the meeting a reality. The Pro Vice-Chancellor commended the federation for winning the bid and eventually choosing the university as the venue for the event. She also commended the federation and the organizing committee for the hard work put in to host the event.

Prof. Rita Dickson complimented the FGMSA for its successes over the past years in its existence and encouraged the IFMSA and FGMSA not to give up on its contribution to building the country and the world. She noted that the theme chosen was very important and apt for the country and therefore as young and upcoming doctors, we should be ready to extend our services to the rural and remote settings.
